Heb je wel altijd al een beschermer van het heelal willen zijn en aliens willen verslaan dan is dit jouw game! Destiny is niet zomaar een hedendaagse FPS, first-person shooter. Het spel heeft veel aspecten van een RPG, role-playing game, in een FPS gemengd waardoor je een leuk en uniek spel krijgt met een goed verhaal.
Verhaal
In Destiny wordt onze Melkweg ingenomen door de “duisternis” en de mensheid reist naar andere planeten om ze tegen ze houden. Jij speelt een “Guarding of the galaxy”. Je hebt beschikking tot een redelijk groot assortiment aan geweren en krachten om de aliens te verslaan. De mensheid is voor het grotendeels uitgeroeid, maar ze vinden een enorme bol bij Mars, die de Traveler heet. De Traveler heeft de aarde proberen te redden door zijn eigen “leven” (het is niet bekent of het een levend wezen is) op te offeren en is daarin geslaagd waardoor de mensheid kan emigreren naar andere planeten. De Traveler geeft de uitverkoren Guardians “light”, het “light” zal ze helpen om tegen de Darkness te vechten. De uitverkoren Guardians worden door de Ghosts gevonden en naar een stad gestuurd waar ze de Speaker vinden. De Speaker is een leerling van de Traveler. Hij repareert de Ghosts, die door de Traveler gemaakt zijn als laatste hoop om de mensheid te redden. De Ghosts helpen jouw door missies te komen en werken als een soort radio.
Hoe het zit
Jij speelt ongeveer 6 missies per planeet en je hebt 4 planeten. Normaal speel je deze levels in singleplayer maar andere spelers kunnen meedoen als je ze uitnodigt. Op elke planeet moet je tegen 1 eindbaas vechten, die je wel verplicht met meerde mensen moet spelen. Na ongeveer 30 uur heb je het verhaal uitgespeeld maar er is ook nog een multiplayer mode waar je tegen andere spelers kan vechten.
Destiny is te krijgen op Xbox 360 en One en voor de PS3 en PS4 maar de mensen die hem op de PS4 hebben krijgen extra missies. De maker is Bungie die ook de Halo series heeft gemaakt. Het spel kost 60 Euro en je kunt hem bij onder andere de mediamarkt kopen
Mijn uiteindelijke mening
Destiny is een best goed spel maar als je denkt dat je een volledig spel koopt, heb je het fout. Je kunt wel het hele verhaal uitspelen met de basis versie maar er zijn ook bundels die je apart kunt kopen om nog meer missies en wapens te krijgen. Ik zou zelf niet 60 euro betalen aan het spel en dan ook nog 2 extra bundels kopen voor 30 euro. Uiteindelijk vond ik Destiny het geld wel waard. Het achtergrondverhaal is een beetje onduidelijk maar ze houden het interessant door spannende missies en een beetje innovatie erin te gooien.
